Failed to open the MSOLAP connection.

Hi

We use PBI Embedded, running on an A1 SKU. We have been using RLS for the published reports since 2017 wihtout issues.

As of around mid December, we have started seeing the "Failed to open the MSOLAP connection" error when trying to view an embedded RLS Report, for any newly published report.

We have changed absolutely nothing in the way we embed or publish, or the user details, etc.

If we publish a report, without specifying the Dataset (for RLS purposes), the report opens without any issue - of course without RLS filtering. As soon as we pass the dataset detail, we get the error.

Any report that was published before December 2022, on the same infrastructure with the same credentials, settings, etc. does not show this issue.

I have read a huge number of posts on this issue, but none of the options have worked.

Again - we have changed nothing... but we now get this error.

If someone can please assist it will be much appreciated.

Thanks

Roelf

Hi - does anyone else have this problem? I am really struggling to find a work around or any interim solution. Is there anyone that knows how to check a ticket status ? I have not received any feedback from MSFT on the issue, which I found strange as surely this is an issue that must render various services unuseable... ?

Hi @Anonymous - can you please provide us an update on this ? I would like to stress again that our services are unavailable at present due to this issue. I will really appreciate if you can give us a time estimate so that I can manage expections this side.
