faced with unclear datarefresh issue:

Show	Scheduled	‎8‎/‎31‎/‎2016‎ ‎09‎:‎30‎:‎05	‎8‎/‎31‎/‎2016‎ ‎10‎:‎04‎:‎43	Failed	There was an error when processing the data in the dataset.
Show	Scheduled	‎8‎/‎31‎/‎2016‎ ‎07‎:‎30‎:‎14	‎8‎/‎31‎/‎2016‎ ‎07‎:‎42‎:‎15	Completed

The same date, no one do not change data.

The reason for this:

Processing error:	The operation was cancelled by the user.
Cluster URI:	WABI-WEST-US-redirect.analysis.windows.net

Request ID:	6a30b579-3bf4-4d21-8278-731cb155b227

I'm hundred percent sure that no one from my users even do not know how to do that.

Yes the error seems to be a little odd to me also. Please try to take a manual refresh and see if the refresh could be completed.

Scenarios regarding the error message that I could think out are the followings:

1. Under Data refresh page in Power BI, refresh is canceled;
2. At the Data source side, the data access request has been rejected;

By the way, the time of error message posted is 2016-08-31 07:04:43Z, could you please also share the error details for the one which the time is ‎8‎/‎31‎/‎2016‎ ‎10‎:‎04‎:‎43?

For troubleshooting, please check your data source connectivity, also the gateway settings under Power BI service.

If your data source side has configured any audit policy, then please also take a look at the related logs.

In addition,  consider take use of Fiddler or F12 developer tools to capture a refresh trace, for further investigation.
