A coworker created a Fabric Warehouse but has since left and his account password was reset. Now, when I try to query a table in the fabric warehouse, I get the following error:
Msg 24551, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
Encountered operating system error 5(Access is denied.) while attempting to read physical metadata.
I'm an admin on the workspace, so it's unclear why I would lose access to the metadata.
Solved! Go to Solution.
We were able to re license his account for the Fabric trial and it started working again. I'll go try and find some place to request this as a feature. We can't have an employee leaving and stuff breaking because there's no way to transfer object ownership.
Hi @dzav
Are you able to create another table in the same warehouse?
I also am not 100% sure if it is possible to transfer ownership of the table currently when using Fabric.

Thanks for letting us know.
Yeah I think because the product is still in preview not all the features are built out yet.
If you have recently started exploring Fabric, we'd love to hear how it's going. Your feedback can help with product improvements.
