Microsoft's documentation does not clearly explain how to utilize a remote gateway with Fabric. Although Fabric can access on-premises data via gateways, Microsoft's guidance lacks clarity on this aspect. Currently, our datasets reside on a lake and undergo an ETL process (PowerQuery Transforms/Shared Datasets) using on-premises data. It would be helpful if Microsoft provided more guidance on integrating Fabric with remote gateways in such scenarios.

Guy in a Cube helped me with this, but the solution isnt resolved because Microsoft doesnt provide guidance on this.
- Dataflows Gen2 (Supports the On-Premises Data Gateway)
- Pipelines (does not currently support the gateway)
- Notebooks (does not support gateway)
- Azure Data Factory (supports the runtime which is like the on-prem gateway – this could pump data into the endpoint for OneLake – basically OneLake is treated like Azure Data Lake Storage at that point).
