Fabric F2 Capacity wanting me to Upgrade to Trial Capacity

Hi All,

I have been using Power BI for a while but am very new to Fabric and some of the "IT admin" elements that come with this. I work in a Finance department so am pretty good with IT but by no means an expert.

As a buisness we wanted to leverage some of the new features that Fabric offers eg notebooks, Dataflows, Lakehouses etc, we are a relatively small buisness so want to minimise cost where we can. I was under the impression I would be able to setup an F2 capcacity at relatively low cost and then use some of these new capabilites.

I created an Azure account and managed to setup an F2 capacity, I have then allocated this to a test workspace in Fabric/PowerBI so that I can test out the functionality. In the workspace that I created when I try and create any of the new fabric items it brings up the below message saying I need to upgrade?

Is my understanding inccorrect and I cannot create these items with the F2 capacity? Or have I got some settings inccorrect?

Many Thanks

Hi,

You can check @Wikkleyn_81 suggestion & you can also check this part in Fabric Capacity - Lower Tier (F2 - F32) in the below post.

You can activate that trail and check.I think it is required for lower sku's.

Hi @AW_1989 , Check in the Tenant Settings if Users can create Fabric items is enabled.

Hi,

In your workspace settings please check whether you have assigned your workspace to that fabric capacity or not.

Thanks,

Sai Teja
