Hi Community,
The Fabric Capacity report previously displayed the usernames of individuals interacting with the reports. However, when I checked it this morning, it now shows "Power BI Service" instead of the actual usernames. Has anyone else experienced this issue or knows why this change might have occurred?

Hi @FarhanJeelani - Fabric Capacity Metrics screenshot clearly shows the "User" column displaying "Power BI Service" instead of individual usernames.
Audit logs in the Microsoft 365 Compliance Center often provide detailed activity by user and can be exported for analysis. If the report change was unintentional, explore restoring a prior version of the Fabric Capacity Metrics app.
Consider using Power BI's REST API or Fabric telemetry to log and track user interactions explicitly.
If usernames are critical, you can create custom reports using the Fabric or Power BI telemetry data export. This might involve creating a Dataflow to process user activity logs.

Hi. This was an issue in my company too, but now it seems to have resolved itself
Which cluster are you on? Still not resolved on US West 2
We're North Europe. It was working, then failed, which is when I found this post. It's now working again as of a week or so ago

There is no solution currently, in fact it has become much worse. Now all the report shows is "Power BI Service" or "System" or nothing. This is a disgrace, and not helping us manage our capacities at all. We have escalated this, again.
We have a ticket open with Microsoft since March 2024. Allegedly this will be fixed by end of Jan 2025. I'll believe it when I see it.
There's also an occasional "System" user. SMH.
