Fabric Capacity Usage Metrices broken

Hi All,

After the upgrade of Fabric Capacity Usage Metrices app, it is broken now.

Any suggestion.

  • Hello ,Don’t worry, you’re not the only one seeing this Why it’s broken

    • Silent breaking changes in the latest app version (e.g., column renames in v47) have impacted dependent queries and custom monitoring tools like FUAM.
    • Some tenants experienced data gaps or blank visuals after the update (especially in EU regions like France). Microsoft acknowledged the root cause and backfilled data, but some users still need manual fixes.

      Fix / Workarounds

        1. Reinstall the app from AppSource (not Admin Portal link)

          • Go to Power BI Service → Apps → Get Apps → Search “Microsoft Fabric Capacity Metrics” → Install.
          • After install, click Connect to your data, enter Capacity ID, and update credentials.
          • Update Semantic Model settings

            • Open the dataset in the workspace → Settings → Parameters → confirm Capacity ID and Region.
            • Re-enter data source credentials and refresh.
            • Check permissions

              • You must be a Fabric Capacity Admin (different from Fabric Admin) and have access to the workspace where the app is installed.

Hope it can help you !

                Best regards,

                Antoine

  • Also don't forget to enable the scheduled refresh (and set it to highest frequency)
