Fabric Capacity Metrics

Good morning everyone,

I have some questions about Fabric Capacity Metrics app:

  1. how can I be sure about the time zone it is using to display data?
  2. what is the date refresh frequency of the app?
  3. is there any way to enlarge the TimePoint detail drill through page to a time range (i.e. one day)?

Thank you in advance for your time,

Antonio

  • Hi,

    1. Time Zone: The time zone for the metrics in the Fabric Capacity Metrics app is typically the local time zone . However, in the Fabric metrics app report, you can configure an offset at configuration time or later on as a dataset parameter

    2. Data Refresh Frequency: The data refresh frequency can impact the capacity of the Fabric Capacity Metrics app. Frequent data refreshes can consume resources, as each refresh consumes memory and processing power. However, the exact refresh frequency isn’t explicitly stated in the sources I found.

    3. Enlarging the TimePoint Detail: The TimePoint detail page in the Fabric Capacity Metrics app provides a detailed view of utilization at specific timepoints. To identify daily patterns, you can drill down to a specific day. However, it’s not explicitly mentioned whether you can enlarge the TimePoint detail to a time range such as one day. You might want to explore the app’s settings or consult its documentation or support for more information.

      Hi Kaviraj11

You stated "The time zone for the metrics in the Fabric Capacity Metrics app is typically the local time zone"

This seems to be inaccurate.  The app doesn't care about the user's local timezone.  The user needs to contact the admin and change the UTC offset.  The only timezone offeset that is used is the one that is selected by an admin.  It needs to happen twice a year for the sake of daylight savings.

I opened a support ticket and verified the information here:
