Hello everybody,
My company is looking into using PowerBI. My colleague and I made some try-out dashboards and published this.
We both got the notification about the extended (year) pro user trial.
To investigate the differences between the free and pro account, we decided to upgrade my colleague's account to (trial) pro user but chose 'Not now' for my account, as the notification said we could alsways activate this later anyway.
This was interesting, as we did figure out what we could do with his account and couldn't with mine, but now I do want to upgrade to pro trial, but the notification has disappeared. My account should be eligible because I did get the message before, but now there are 'No new notifications'.
The PowerBI page however says I should be able to active until May 2018.
Could someone please help me with this?
Thanks in advance,
Kind regards,
Claire

Hi @csoest,
Based on my research, an alternative way to activate the Extended Pro Trial without the notification when you sign in to the Power BI service, and are eligible is using the this link https://app.powerbi.com/groups/me/accept2017protrial. Could you go to check if it works in your scenario. ![]()

Hi @v-ljerr-msft ,
This leads to some sort of infinite refresh loop where it keeps switching between the 'favorites' (https://app.powerbi.com/favorites) page and the link you have given me.
However when I just close the page entirely this stops and when I go back to powerbi it seems to have worked, "Pro Trial: 247 days left". So thank you very much for solving the issue for me!
Kind regards,
Claire
