Expression error: Access to the resource iS forbidden

I’m trying to connect Power BI to my Acumatica OData feed to build dashboards, but I keep getting the error “Expression.Error: Access to the resource is forbidden.” Some OData sources work while others fail with this message.

  • Hi kchekuri04, you'd need to verify it on Acumatica database side. It appears that your account lacks sufficient privileges to connect to a specific table/view, etc.

If you want community to help you, we'd need more details: what table are you trying to connect? Can you access it directly? What type of connection do you use? What credentials? Are you sure those credentials have sufficient privilleges and etc. If you provide more background I'm sure that someone here will do their best to help you 😉

    Good luck with your project!

    Hi kchekuri04

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.

As Sergii24  mentioned, the issue is likely occurs from the Acumatica database side. Please verify the configuration and user permissions within your Acumatica environment, as insufficient privileges to specific tables, views, or endpoints can cause the “Access to the resource is forbidden” error. Once you have confirmed the access rights, try reconnecting the OData feed in Power BI.

If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please let us know  we will be happy to support you further.

    Regards,

    Microsoft Fabric Community Support Team.
