Hello,
Filtering a matrix visual to desired settings worked for everyone in our organization yesterday, but today it does not.
We follow the same process on the table ellipsis and select Export data
Then select with current layout
Then I get the following message
But! Excel does not open with the table information and it is not located in the downloads folder.
This is happening for all in the organization even after a refresh.
Is this happening to anyone else?
Thanks,
-Nat
Solved! Go to Solution.
This was due to the version of Google changing the download process.
Once updated, Chrome was able to download the data.
Hi @Anonymous ,
Since the "Sucessful export" message is thrown by Power BI services, it is sure that the export functionality is successfully performed.
One possibility I can think of is that the export might have been downloaded to your local system's Downloads folder. You can go to the Downloads Tab(Ctrl+J in Chrome and Edge) of your browser and locate the file.

Thank you for your input.
Chrome, unfortunately, was not showing the download locally or in the browsers downloads.
I tried in Edge, like @cassidy below, and it is working fine there. I am troubleshooting why Chrome is acting this way.
Thanks again!

I don't have a solution, but I tested those steps in my capacity and it worked as expected.
I don't think this is what you are talking about, but the browser Chrome did change the Downloads UI very recently to where it no longer generates a clickable file at the bottom of the page after export.
Thank you for making me think to check other browsers! (I'm a total User now.. XD)
I checked in Edge and it worked fine.
In Chrome, though, the export doesn't even show up in Downloads.
I will check with different versions of Chrome. I'll bet that's the issue.
Thanks again!!

This was due to the version of Google changing the download process.

I've seen a few posts now with a similar viba and noticed the Chrome change on my side, so figured it was related!
