I am interested in understanding if it is possibe to export data from a table visual in reports published in the service in to an Excel template?
Am fully aware exporting data (summarise or underlying data) is simple provided this is set up correctly but being able to export using a predefined Excel template removes any neseccsay maniuplation of the exported data.
There are a number of questions on how would this work, say, for differening number of rows, so maybe thinking something like exporting departmental lists of employees, contacts, etc.
Hoping some of the cleaver minds are aware of or have soome ideas on this that would help!

as per my knowledge Power bi does not have a feature to export a data in particular format. However you can use the option of "analyze in excel" which will export all the table from the dataset and you can create you own Pivot and there is no limitation in number of rows being exported , unlike in export data in excel you can export only 30K rows....The data is live connected and you always get the latest data to look into
For more details you can refer https://radacad.com/say-no-to-export-data-yes-to-analyze-in-excel-power-bi-and-excel-can-talk

@Anonymous Many thanks for your quick response.
Maybe I was not specific enough in my query. I understand what you have indicated but I am after the end users ability to do this and they will only have read / reshare capability for reports, but with specific tables with the header visable to allow export of data.
So if the user wants to export the table data from the table visual within the report this is what I was after, so guess not possible unless there are any other suggestions?

Hi, @DavidH
After my research, I'm afraid it couldn't achieve in Power BI for now. For your requirement , you can come up with a new idea and add your comments there to make this feature coming sooner.
