Great feature, definitely needs some additional work. The images in the PPT are fuzzy, some of the alignment off, and overlapping text/images did not come out well. Looked great on screen, but did not transfer to PPT well. I wouldn't use these unclear images in a professional setting. Additionally, the PPT needs to be published in the same page sizes as the report. I can't easily print the default 16:9 page size, so I changed everything to 4:3 so I could have clean reports - and when I sent to PPT I had a bunch of white space because it defaulted back to 16:9.

When exporting dashboards that contain "slicers" to power point, there is no control how the data is displayed.

Ideally i'd be able to slice the data in my dashboard then export to power point and the power point would display the data as I sliced it on Power BI.

Right now the data slicing doesn't transfer.

Thank you!

I agree!  At this point it is just easier to grab a screen shot.

When exporting dashboards that contain "slicers" I have no control over how the data appears when exported.

It'd be ideal if the export in power point matched the current data slice settings, right now that's no the case.

Thank you!

Hi Power BI team,

I think you just added limitation of 15 pages in this exporting feature, so could you please allow us/users to choose which pages will be exported instead of ask to re-publish report with less than 15 pages and export?

@tringuyenminh92 I agree! It would be awesome to be able to select which pages were included in the export. I think that may help with creating custom PPTX exports...

Hi Microsoft Team,

Thanks for this big debvelopemnt.

Its really helpful for my organization. But its downloading the whole report not the only with filters.

THis is great.

Any word on when it will be made available to PowerBI Embedded users? (if not already)

Thanks very much

Chris

I am thrilled that the capability to export into PowerPoint has become an option, however it isn't as valuable as it would be if the slicers applied to the reports would influence what is exported.

The current set up of the reports requires the user to isolate the group (and there are hundreds of options) to view the data and when it's exported for the entire organization, the end user isn't able to view their specific groups.

I'm sure many other people have said it, and you have highlighted it as a drawback in the release statement already.  However, i just wanted to say that without the ability to export the report based on user interaction (drilling / slicer options etc) our users cannot really use it.  We generally have a company level report, which users then drill / filter to get to their departments data, and this is what they want to export.

I get the error consistently on a larger report, but never on smalled ones.  Almost seems like a timeout.

It's worked great the few times we played around with the feature, no errors messages, display bugs or unreasonably long wait times.  But it really needs that "in-session interactivity" functionality added.  Without that we struggle to find utility in it.

So has the issue of exporting the values on screen been resolved? ie if I add page filters, these are not being exported, but all the data is being downloaded

Hi

Great feature and an absolute winner for my company.  Small tweaks that would make a big difference:

  1. Ability to choose to have hyperlinks removed when exporting (as recipients have found it a bit annoying to be clicking on a graph and then it opening up the PowerBI login page, removal on mass from powerpoint is not easy outside of macros)
  2. KPI tiles don't carry through Goal details, which again would be great to fix early on as we use those tiles quite a lot

Anyway great stuff, keep it coming 🙂

Best regards

Mike

Hi, the new feature is great, and much needed for my organization.  The issue I find is that sometimes the export works, and other times it does not.  My data is being accessed using a gateway to an SSAS cube.  Is this a top priority to resolve?  It is becoming a showstopper for my organization, as this export function is critical.  Many thanks!
