Export to PDF not considering slicer selection

Hello Gurus,

I am pretty new to Power BI and seek some advice from the experts here. I have a simple Power BI report linked from MS Dynamics portal and passing some filter values. The report itself has a slicer corresponding to that filter value. The data filtering in the report works as expected. However, when I export this report to PDF from the Power BI service, it does not consider the slicer selection and exports for all values. TThe need is to be able to export to pdf only for the filtered value. What could be the reason for this? Any leads will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @abby789

See if BI Helper https://bihelper.tech works for your use case.

BI Helper is a third-party SaaS tool that automates user-specific PDF generation (i.e., with slicers and filters applied) and emailing from Power BI.

BI Helper requires you to have one Power BI Pro (or higher) license. Your end-users can be internal or external to your organization and don't need Power BI licenses to receive their PDFs.

Hi @abby789 ,

In the Power BI service, select Export > PDF from the menu bar.

A pop-up appears where you can select Current values or Default valuesCurrent values exports the report in the current state, which includes the active changes you made to slicer and filter values. Most users select this option. Alternatively, selecting Default values exports the report in its original state, as the designer shared it, and doesn't reflect any changes you've made to that original state.

Hi @Anonymous ,

Thanks for your reply. I have tried with exporting using the Current values option. However, it does not solve my issue.

As I said earlier, my PBI report is linked from the Dynamics portal and its passing a specific project number to the PBI Report. In the attached screenshot, Project ID 902633 is passed. The data in the PBI report is  filtered accordingly. But as you can see, the slicer value is not selected even though its filtered. So now when I export my report to pdf, it exports with all values.
