Export table with live connection

I can not find the option export table with live connection in power Bi service.

Can someone show me where it

  • Hi Rogaard ,

If I understand your requirements correctly, you need to export data with a live connection. To do this, you can use the 'Analyze in Excel' option, which allows your semantic model to maintain a live connection within Excel.

Alternatively, if you want to perform ad hoc analysis in the service, you can use the 'Explore Data' feature. This lets you either create a blank report or explore existing data, where you can drag and drop columns and measures to build the visuals you need.

    Thanks

  • The answers above plus you need build permission to dataset.

  • Hi Rogaard ,

The export option can be disabled at the tenant or file level check that setting with your admin .
Please follow the below documentation for more details

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/visuals/power-bi-visualization-export-data?tabs=powerbi-desktop

Select the visual -> 3 dots -> export data

    Hi,

First on Desktop file make sure 'More Options' is switched on under Header Icons, Property.

Then 'Hide the visual header in reading view' box is NOT checked for both Option on desktop file and setting in Service.

Then the '...' would appear on top right corner of the visual with Export feature.

    • Open the report.
    • Hover over the table or matrix visual.

    • Click the … (More options) in the top-right of the visual.

    • Look for: "Export data"

    Thanks for all the help.

I see I could be a bit more specific.

The option I am missing is the Export function of one tabel.

    See the attached pictures.
