Hi, to export a Power BI report to file using the Power BI Service rest api, can we use capacity Embedded A3, or do we need A4? I know I read in an article a year ago that this requires A4, but this link only states that a Premium capacity is required: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/developer/embedded/export-to#license-requirements
Is such report export possible with Fabric F32?

Ok thanks. I see now that it is Paginated reports that require capacity A4 for export to file
Hi. The doc you just send specify it just needs dedicated capacity.
That means PPU won't work, but any A#, P# or F# should work.
I hope that helps,
Happy to help!

I can confirm from personal experience that it works even with the smallest Fabric SKU, an F2.
However, the exportToFile operation used a shocking amount of Consumption Units, so be judicious if you have a small capacity.
Hi! If you say 'shocking amount of CU', how high do you mean? 😉 And do you know what the expexted cost would be to run it lets say 100 times for a 10 page report? We are looking for a way to get fabric SKU but only for the exportToFile option so are looking into wat it would most likely cost
It was exactly 100 CUs per page for the exportToFile operation, so 100 times * 10 pages * 100 CUs = 100,000 CUs, or all of the available capacity of an F2 for almost 14 hours.
