Export more than 150 000 rows into excel

Hello Community,

Please note that I have a need that the end users to export data into excel from Power bi report in service more than 150 000 rows. The paginated report option is not suitable cz it is a predefined report matrix. do you have other solutions?

Thank you so much

Hi @Anonymous ,
Have you tried this option: Analyze in excel

Also another way what you could try is connecting your powerbi dataset directly to the deseried excel file.
Refer to for more details:

Let me know if this aligns with output you are expecting.
I hope I was able to resolve your issue. If so please mark it so it can help others as well.😊

Hi @Anonymous

Power BI doesn't currently support exporting more than 150,000 rows of data from Power BI service visuals for end users.

It has been listed as a restriction in official documents:Export data from a Power BI visualization - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

You could export your data with the help of filters such as Slicers, which means you could export parts of the data in each export.

You can also use DAX Studio, a free community tool, to export your data very fast and even export your whole model at once.

Thank you @Gayatri_D05 , the issue is that the end users want to have the data exported from matrix table to xlsx without limit or at least more than 150 000 rows. The users already choose their table components from parameters fields

Hi @Anonymous

No other solution than paginated report however a work around could be create 2 filtered visuals in 2 different pages in the report and end user can export and combine the outcome.

Thank you @aj1973  the matrix is dynamic per selection of user through field parameters. I guess this  might not be the good practice for the end users 😞
