Export data option disappears after publishing on web

It is not supported all the time. Not MS disable the feature recently.

Don't worry. It is used in Service and not influenced by the Desktop version.
There is an option of exporting data in Desktop. It can restrict users to use the feature.
File > Options and settings > Options > Report settings > Export data
Thank you Xue Ding for the advice! Great to learn the old version won't be affected.
The last question - i promise - when do you think the feature of data export from 'Publish to web' would be fixed? We are planning to publish our power bi book on web in Sept. We are in the process of preparing all the stuff including Help notes etc. If we could use the feature by Sept this year we'll be able to keep our current version of prepared notes. If not, we need to change a lot of things, including perhaps updating our exsiting Excel books on the web.

This document is about new and planed feature for Power BI. I don't find a plan about exporting data from published report. Sadly, it may be not released before Sep..
