Export data in Excel but should not download the .pbix report

Hello,

I have a situation and need help. I have created a Workspace in PBI services and a .pbix report in that workspace. I have given read permission to the report to 1 of my co-worker. He is NOT able to export the data in Excel. When I given him access to Workspace as Contributor, then he is able to Export data and also download the .pbix file.

My situation is that I do not want him to download the .pbix report but still should be able to export data in excel. How can i set his permissions or if there is another ay to share the report using Content Pack etc..

@Anonymous Make sure that the setting in the Admin Portal to export data is enabled, and there is also a setting in the options of the report itself that could remove this capability under Options and Settings -> Options -> Current File -> Report Settings -> Export data
