Export data from Matrix - shows all levels not just visible

When I have a matrix on the screen and I am using a hierarchy, or similar:  Column Total Sales and the row is Region->State->City->Store it exports all of that to Excel.

That would be great if I had all those rows expanded, but if I only have Region expanded and the rest collapsed it still exports the entire drill down path expanded.  (When exporting to excel summarized data).

Is there anyway to control that?

Thanks!

In Power BI Desktop, the "Export Data" feature is exporting the underlying data from the visual, which means the data is always in a table format, not the format you can directly see within that visual. You can never get the data in a matrix format when exporting data.
