Hi Fellow PBI users,
Is there a way i can keep the "Expand all down.." and up level arrows always on? Even if the below matrix/table is not selected, i want the arrows to be visible. My clients won't know that they have to select the matrix to be able to see the arrows. Many thanks in advance.

@seekerMelbourne You could use buttons and bookmarks.
I have the same issue with the stacked column and line chart and the button feature doesn't fully address this. The reason I moved to using field parameters for the x-axis was because the number of bookmarks in my report was getting out of control. I don't want to make the user have to do the extra step of expanding the levels every time they use the slicers. I would like to set the default behavior to all levels expanded whenever they choose a slicer.

Hi Greg. This solution works if the x-axis is a fixed attribute. However, I am using in my visual, a field parameter, as x-axis. And I am providing a slicer for the user to choose which attribute they would like to use as x-axis. In this case, using bookmarks and buttons does not work since there is no "fixed state" that is being selected for the x-axis.
Additionally, I am also providing the user with functionality of selecting multiple x-axis. This means that everytime the user selects multiple x-axis, they would have to either find the "Expand down one level" button in the visual which disappears, or have to go through the ordeal of right clicking the visual and selecting the right choice.
Can I not have the expanded down all levels in the hierarchy as a default view?
Hi Rushi,
Have you eventually found solution to that?
I have exactly the same problem 🙂
Thanks
