Excluding subcategories
Hi,
I have a table in Power BI with different categories and under each category there is a subcategory connetced to a value. Can I somehow remove subcategories for a specific category without losing values?
Thanks

Thanks for answering! So it is not possible in Online without measures?

It depends on what you mean by filtering - if you're trying to remove subcategories from the data, if you filter those out of the table you'll be removing rows of data. If that's what you're after, then it's valid to do that. You could also replace values in the field with something else, but I'm not sure what exactly your end goal is so it's hard to make recommendations based on a two-sentence post. 🙂

You can exclude subcategories in your measures using CALCULATE() and/or FILTER().
