Error when adding a new Dataflow using Dynamics 365 Business Central Data Source

Hi,

We can no longer add new Dataflows using the Dynamics 365 Business Central Data Source, this worked fine until we upgraded to Dynamics BC V24 / V24.2.  The existing Dataflows continue to work fine with refreshed reflected in our reports.  If we use an OData Data Source then we can add new Dataflows.  We have tried on different tenants and get the same issue so this is not an issue specific to our environment.

The error we see after completing our Connection Settings and clicking Next is;

"An exception occurred: Expression.Error: The OData connector failed with the following error: We cannot convert the value null to type Duration. . (Session ID 90455621-a498-4272-9b4b-f9bf6999183e, Region uk).

After Next we get the following error;

The screen shot above shows us using a custom API but we get the same error using an OTB API.

Appreciate any suggestions or help.

Thanks

Kevin

Just in case anyone else gets this issue, MS support have come back with the following workaround this stops the error happening;

Hi Wenbin,

Thanks for the question, no it is not possible to rollback, that is not how the MS SaaS model for Dynamics Business Central works.  Unfortunately neither we or our Dynamics partner have any environments at V23 so we cannot even test whether the issue is present at V23.

Regards

Hi @HiggsKD ,

You mentioned that this issue occurs after updating the version, is it possible to roll back to an older version?

Please check if the following articles can help you set up your data flow.
