Error unable to connect to the data source

Hello guys,

 

I`m connecting to Postgre SQL - direct query as data source. I connect with postgreSQl and it runs smoothly on my desktop.

However, when i publish the report on Power BI service, i run into this error 

 

 

I`ve set up a gate way on my desktop and declare all of the info on Manage Gateways on Power BI service.

 

Have anyone got this type of error before? please show i how can i fix this error.

    HiHaidann,

     

    Power Bi Service has different security and policy so some of the connection string works on Power BI Desktop, but failed on Power Bi Service side due to inaccurate connection properties definition and driver version compatibility.

    Maybe you can try to use other type of connecting strings or add optional properties into connection string.
