If someone can help me on this problem, i'll be eternally grateful!

Accesing/refreshing the database in power BI desktop using a VPN works fine but not using the gateway.

Thanks in advance!
Thanks for the suggestion!
I received the following error:
Microsoft SQL: A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the login process. (provider: SSL Provider, error: 0 - The received certificate has expired.)
Hi @Anonymous ,
Please check if your certificate for sql server has expired in your SQL SERVER Configuration manger:
If it has expired, you can try to choose other certificate or extension certificate or just use Self-signed certificate for sql server.
As a workaround, using an unencrypted connection. File->Options and Settings -> Data Source Settings, choose your SQL Server data source and select Edit and uncheck "Encrypt Connections" option.
If this post helps, then please consider Accept it as the solution to help the other members find it more quickly.

Hi @v-deddai1-msft ,
Thanks for the suggestion, however, I was already using an unencrypted connection aka "Encrypt Connections" was already unchecked. I am still awaiting responds from the IT person I'm working with regarding the "The received certificate has expired"-error.
I'll be sure to add the solution to this post once I finally get the answer.
Kinds regards,
Benjamin
