Error on refresh using gateway to connect to SQL server

Hi,

 

So I can't refresh a published dataset in the service when using the enterprise gateway.

If someone can help me on this problem, i'll be eternally grateful!

 

So first, the error: 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Accesing/refreshing the database in power BI desktop using a VPN works fine but not using the gateway.

 

Settings: 

  • Gateway is up and running
  • Using the same credentials & servername in both services/desktop
  • Using basic authentification for SQL database acces
  • privacy settings set on organisational in both services/desktop
  • Gateway is installed on the same location as the server

    What happens if you try and access the SQL Server on the Gateway Server with the same Server Name and Basic authentication?

    Just to rule out that the issue is with the gateway not being able to connect to the SQL Server?

      Thanks for the suggestion! 

       

      I received the following error: 

      Microsoft SQL: A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the login process. (provider: SSL Provider, error: 0 - The received certificate has expired.)

        Hi there

        Could you make sure that the date and time is correct on your server?

        I would then investigate why there is the error of certificate expired.
