  • Hi Kalu0311

Thank you for your message. From the details you've shared, it seems you're experiencing a refresh failure with your Power BI dashboards, even though the on-premises data gateway is active and firewall exceptions are already in place.

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to help resolve the issue:

    Validate Gateway Version:
Make sure you are using the latest version of the On-Premises Data Gateway. Download the newest version from the official Microsoft site to prevent compatibility problems.

Check Data Source Mapping in Power BI Service:

Navigate to Power BI Service -- Settings – Gateways, select your gateway cluster and verify that the data source credentials are set up and mapped correctly. Then test the connection to confirm it works properly.

    Firewall & Network:
Even if exceptions are already in place, double-check that the required outbound ports and URLs are not blocked:Port: 443, URLs like *.powerbi.com, *.servicebus.windows.net, and *.msftconnecttest.com should be permitted.

    Service Account Permissions:
Ensure that the service account running the gateway has the necessary permissions to access the data sources.

    Cluster & Redundancy:
If you're using a gateway cluster, confirm that all nodes are healthy. If a secondary node fails, refreshes may still show failure depending on routing.
