Error in dataset refresh

hey everyone,

I've recently setup my on-premeise gateway and added it to my powerbi service. I configured with the sql server credentials and the rest of the connections and tested it, and it worked fine.

a few days later i started to get these errors everytime i try to refresh -

  • Data source error{"error":{"code":"DM_GWPipeline_Gateway_SpooledOperationMissing","pbi.error":{"code":"DM_GWPipeline_Gateway_SpooledOperationMissing","parameters":{},"details":[],"exceptionCulprit":1}}} Table: dwh_dim_accounts

the gateway and the connections are online, if i try to refresh in power BI desktop it also works.

I tried to look online but couldn't find any solution, anyone has any advise?

feeling very frustrated, would appreciate any help.

thank you

Hi @Adam_t332 ,

Please try the following methods and check if they can solve your problem:

1.Ensure that the credentials with the SQL Server is configured correctly.

Troubleshoot the on-premises data gateway | Microsoft Learn

2.Verify that the on-premises gateway is up to date.

3.Confirm that there are no firewall rules or network restrictions blocking communications.

4.Try to create a new connection with the SQL Server.

Hi @Adam_t332

Could you confirm that your Gateway server has got enough memory and CPU to handle the queries?
