Error generating public web embed - no response

I have a report that I'm trying to generate a public embed for.  I go thru the process as usual, but when I click "Publish", the screen just flashes and the next screen does not appear.  You can see a brief message pop up that says "Creating a code", but then nothing happens.   I can look at the web console and there are all kinds of errors I don't recognize.  

Anyone else have this issue?  It works correctly on other reports, but not this specific one.

    Publish to web is supported for the vast majority of data sources and reports in the Power BI service. You can read more about the considerations and limitations of Publish To Web in here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/service-publish-to-web#considerations-and-limitations

      Thanks for this.  I found the pagelong document that outlines all the reasons why you cannot use a public link and the second thing in the list was Direct Access which is what we were using.

       

      I just wish the error message would appear instead of just the screen flashing so we would know what the reason was.  Thanks
