Error fetching data for this visual

Hi,

I have a Direct Query table simple report. I'm just showing the data in a simple table without any transformation or measure. In the PBXI works fine but when I publish it and try to access it I get this error:

I have configure the gateway for the Snowflake connection. Actually I published 2 dashboards almost twins and the other one is working fine but this one, no.

I will appreciate your help.

I took a new pbxi file and build everything again and now it is working. I really don't understand what was wrong with that pbxi file.

Hi @apacheco05,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Fabric Forum Community.

Could you please try these Troubleshooting Steps:

Check Snowflake Query History If the query doesn't appear, the issue is within Power BI or the gateway.

Verify Gateway and Data Source Mapping Ensure the dataset is using the correct gateway and credentials in Power BI Service.

Review the Snowflake View Avoid using session variables, default parameters, or complex types like VARIANT in views.

Check Filters and Slicers Make sure no visuals are passing null or unassigned filter values.

Use Performance Analyzer in Power BI Desktop Capture and test the generated SQL directly in Snowflake to identify failures.

For Troubleshooting the issue verify the link : https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/service-connect-snowflake

If you find this response helpful, please consider marking it as the accepted solution and giving it a thumbs-up to support others in the community.

Thank you & regards,

Hi @apacheco05

If there is a difference between the reports where one is working and one is not, I would recommend check in the  Data source connections to make sure that they are using the same source.

Sorry, probably I should not mention that. They are different views from Snowflake. What I meant is that I published almost at the same time with the same gateway.

I have a prevous version of the same report with import mode pointing to the same view that is running fine.

Any other idea of what should I check?

Hi @apacheco05

One I would recommend doing is having a look at the Snowflake monitoring tab to see if the query ever gets there.

I see my login to Snowflake, but no query appears to be run.
