Error changing to Mixed storage mode

Hi.

We have a composite model report with a connected live to one dataset in Power BI Service and a table with some measures. It's been working fine so far, but today gave an error, in visual detalis "Couldn't retrieve the data for this visual. Please try again later.

Please try again later or contact support. If you contact support, please provide these details.".

I tested it on desktop, add power bi service dataset, work fine, but when i click on "Make changes to this model" it gives de error: "Either the database 'dataset' does not exist, or you do not have permissions to acess it.

Best ragards,

Nuno Duarte

  • Hi nuno_m_duarte ,
Please check the authentication type of the already published dataset. Please check if anything has been changed since yesterday.
The issue seems to be at the published dataset end where authentication is failing. Hence it is throwing the "Couldn't retrieve data" error in services.

      Hi @Anand24 ,

The dataset is from an App Template. I install again the app in another workgroup, make a refresh and work fine. Then i refresh by schedule and stop working with the same problem. I have this app in dozens of customers and never had this problem.

        nuno_m_duarte ,
I feel logs needs to be checked for debugging this.

It would be best if you can raise a support ticket and get dedicated query solution since they can compare both(where it is working and where it not working) tenants or multiple users through logs and give you the exact solution.
