I have a dataset published to the Power BI service (to a workspace). I used Power BI desktop to create a report connected to the dataset using the Power BI service connection. I published the report to the service and all is good. However when I pin one of the vizuals from this report to a dashboard I receive an error 'Unrecognized fields in visual' No such error when viewing the report only in the dashboard. The dashboard contains visuals from two reports but both reports are looking at the same dataset.
The detail of the error says 'unable to identify the following fields: tablename' but doesn't actually list any fields!
Not sure it's relevant but the vizual only contains measures.
Any suggestions?
Hi @robofski,
What's the data source for your dataset?
According to your description above, I have tested it on my environment, but was not able to reproduce the same issue.
Regards
The data comes in from a SQL view. Measures are added in Power BI.
Hi @robofski,
After a few tests, I still cannot reproduce this issue on my environment(Power BI Desktop version: 2.47.4766.801 64-bit). So I would suggest you create a support ticket on Power BI Support page for better assistance on this issue.
Regards
