Error: 'The specified credentials are invalid' when logging in

I'm currently facing an issue with one of our users when attempting to log in to a Power BI dashboard. The user is encountering the error message: "The specified credentials are invalid." 7c5fd93c-a6a9-419c-ab74-2cb03739061f_SAMP error credentials.PNGWhat makes this issue particularly challenging is that it's isolated to this one user, and we have been unable to replicate the problem on other accounts.

Here's a bit more context about the situation:

  • The error occurs consistently for this specific user when trying to access the dashboard.
  • No other users are experiencing this issue; they can access the dashboard without any problems.
  • We have verified the user's credentials, and they are correct.
  • We've attempted several troubleshooting steps, including clearing cache and cookies, trying different browsers, and even resetting the user's password, but the issue persists.

I'm reaching out to the community in the hope that someone might have encountered a similar problem or can provide guidance on how to resolve this error. Any insights, suggestions, or troubleshooting steps are greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,

Karol 🙂

Hi @karolinv

Do other reports work fine for this user?

Can you double check to make sure that they have got a valid Power BI license?

Also what you could do is to remove the users permissions, confirm that they are removed and then add them back in?
