Error: The gateway is offline or could not be reached

My data source is a database in MySql and was connecting and updating correctly by PowerBI online. But it stopped working unexpectedly. I checked the credentials and they're correct. In PowerBi Desktop I can connect perfectly but I can not configure the gateway because it displays the error below:

Hi, @Rpoucas

Please check these things below:

  1. Upgrade the On-premise Gateway to the newest version.
  2. Open the gateway to check status. We need to sign in the gateway.
  3. In the Network pane, we can see the local network status.
  4. We can restart gateway in the Service Settings.

refer:

Unable to connect: The gateway is either offline or couldn't be reached

If that will not cover your case I would recommend to open a support ticket.  If you have a Pro account it is free. Go to https://support.powerbi.com. Scroll down and click "CREATE SUPPORT TICKET".

Hope this helps.

How to avoid this one workaround on a daily basis? I need a final solution.
