I would like to request that the 1 app per workspace limitation be changed. This is a very constraining limitation.

Why not treat apps like other assets in a workspace, just like folders and reports. We have different combinations of reports for different audiences. Setting up different workspaces just for another app will create a lot of extra overhead.

Hi @rob_caretta ,
Thanks for reaching out Microsoft fabric community.
You're right, this limitation does cause overhead, especially in environments where the same reports serve multiple audiences. While Power BI currently allows only one app per workspace, a practical workaround is to leverage multiple audiences within that single app.
Microsoft introduced the “multiple audiences” feature, which lets you define custom navigation and report access for different user groups, all from one app without duplicating content or managing separate workspaces.
Power BI Org Apps with Multiple Audiences – Now Generally Available
This way, you avoid creating multiple workspaces, reduce admin overhead, and still tailor content to different stakeholders. However, if your use case still demands multiple apps per workspace, consider upvoting or submitting an idea in the Power BI Ideas forum:

Hi, i was aware of this audience setup, but the situation here is
suppose i have 2 reports, reportA is created for whole company and it's already used as an app. reportB also sits in this workspace and it was created only for a team. i was thinking to combine reportB with a PPT for this team audiences (which seems available only through app), but i don't want this team to see reportA while they are using this combined reportB. Would this be a possible setup in one workspace? thanks
I really don't like how "Workspace users" is baked into every Audience and can't be removed.
There's a simple solution. Don't have workspace users beyond a handful of admins and UAT testers.
Wonderful! Thank you for that information! I see that now, wasn't aware of the Audience option.
I still think multiple apps would be a more understandable and flexible solution though. You also wouldn't have permissions packed away inside of a container and all mixed up with other permissions. That kind of design doesn't scale well.
Hi @rob_caretta
I'm glad it helped!
I agree having more than one app in a workspace would make things easier to manage, especially with permissions. The audience feature is useful for now, but your idea shows why a better long-term solution is needed. It’s a good one to share on the Ideas forum.
