Endpoint security MSSP reporting question
Hello,
Apologies if this is not the correct section. I work for an MSSP and we are building a service around Microsoft 365 Defender. We access the customer's environments using our own accounts and Governance Access Package (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/security/defender/mssp-access?view=o365-worldwide#configure-governance-access-packages). Does someone know what is the best way to use PowerBI for reporting in this scenario? Is it for the customers to create us accounts in their AzureAD and for us to import templates and run the reports using their own PowerBI (does not seem optimal), or is there a way for our own PowerBI, to connect to their tenants and pull the data using API? This way we can have the reporting templates with us, and we will just run them against the customers' environments. Thank you in advance!

What I have found when working with customers is that it is always easier to get an account created in the customers AzureAD. While this appears to be more cumbersome, typically there are a whole host of other challenges that are NOT supported by external accounts (specifically for Power BI).

Thank you. Indeed I thought so, but I was hoping we will not have to manage separate accounts for each customer. Just out of curiosity, is reporting on other tenants even officially possible? Is there any guide that outlines how to be done? Can you share few challenges that you faced? Thank you!
