Employment Hero API - Connect to Power BI
Is anyone using Employment Hero as their HR System or know how to connect Employment Hero open API with Power BI to get real-time reports?
I have been on this for days now, and I can't figure it out. Here's their API Document - https://developer.employmenthero.com/api-references/#icon-book-open-introduction
It seems straightforward but I don't know how to go about it. Both support teams are directing me to contact the other for support, and I feel this is going nowhere.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers.

I do have the same question. Did you find the answers, please?

Unfortunately, no. The EH support is awful. We explicitly asked if we can connect EH to PowerBI for real-time data during our scoping and they confirmed the system is capable and a lot of their customers do that. When we launched the system, I went back to them to help connect it - zero communication from their support team and they keep redirecting me to refer to the API document or contact Microsoft to get the API connected.
Right now, we are running a custom report and importing it to PowerBi whenever we want to visualise the data.
Though it is not ideal, this is better than spending days/weeks to get the API set up and running.- BetoSilvaNew Member
Thank you for your answers. I also sent a request to EH customer service, but they use to take weeks to answer. If I have any answer from them I will let you know.

Hi Grizzly_Bear
How did you end up going with this issue? The company I work for is looking to do the same, I'm not sure how much of a headache we are in for!
Thanks

Unfortunately, no. Raised multiple helpdesk tickets - they keep saying, "We only provide the API and the basic documentation. You need to hire a developer to extract and build using these API points."
Like I mentioned in other comments, I gave up after a while. We now have custom reports that extract almost all the information from the EH. We then copy and replace the content into a CSV source file stored in a SharePoint site and use that to build PowerBi dashboards.
Very old school and manual, but it works. ğŸ˜

Sorry to hear. I'll be using SharePoint in the interim to at least get it up and running. I think we will need to source the API setup from a third party, but I will let you know if we get anywhere with it on our own. Thanks for getting back to me so quickly!

I can help on extracting data from the EmploymentHero API. I can also help to load your data to your data warehouse or data lake or any relational database that feeds to your reporting platform.

I can help you Grizzly_Bear to write a program script to pull data from your EmploymentHero API.
