Embedded reports can get "jumpy" when using right-click menu

Users of our PBI embedded application are suddenly seeing the UI "jump around vertically" when using the right-click menu within a visual.  For example, we offer several Drill Through options, so our end-users will right-click on a line in a table visual to open up the context menu - where PBI shows menu items such "Copy", "Show as a table", "Include", "Exclude", "Drill through ", etc.

Simply the act of right-clicking, depending on where the user does it, can make the whole browser content shift upwards. If I right-click on a line that's near the top of the table visual, this can have a different effect than right-clicking on a line that's towards the bottom of the visual. Sometimes the effects are "permanent" - if I right-click, the whole content can shift upwards, and if I click off the menu, the header bar in the application that was there before, and disappeared due to the first right-click, is still gone. You may get it back with a right-click further up the table.  Or you can get it back by pressing TAB repeatedly so it cycles through all the browser elements.  It's all hard to explain - never saw this behavior before.

I haven't yet been able to replicate in powerbi.com.  But in the embedded app, I can replicate in either Edge or Chrome, and whether I'm in read-only mode or in edit-mode.

Hi @Anonymous,

We're experiencing the same behaviour when operating through embedded mode. We haven't made any changes to the app code around embedding for 3 months, yet this behaviour started around two weeks ago.

One of our developers has been able to capture the following gif showing the behaviour, and we have an open ticket, currently with mindtree.

@AdamRiddick - you mentioned having opened a ticket; any news/updates to share?

@Anonymous - we just heard from another customer complaining about this issue.  No updates on our end could have triggered this new, annoying behavior. It's even causing them to make incorrect selections because of the sudden/unexpected up/down movement.

@orygreg2 Nothing substantial as of yet. We had feedback on the ticket that they are waiting for a response from the product group.

We have also tried all of the suggestions on this thread, and none of them resolve the issue - it is definitely coming from the other end.

Hi, @orygreg2

Depending on the problem you are experiencing, there are solutions you can try:
You can try clearing your browser's cache and cookies, sometimes these can cause the page to display abnormally.

You can check the embedded code for any updates or changes to make sure the code is up to date and error free.

You can also use your browser's developer tools (press F12) to see if there are any error messages or warnings. This can help you identify scripting or styling issues that may be causing the problem.

I hope my suggestions give you good ideas, if you have any more questions, please clarify in a follow-up reply.
Best Regards,

Hi @Anonymous, thank you for your response.  I don't see any errors when I use Developer Tools.  And the same jumpy behavior happens when I use a clean browser.  We're still investigating whether there's been any recent changes to our embedding application that could have triggered this.  So far, cannot replicate in PBI playground (nor in PBI service).
