Embedded Report does not update in PPT prior slide selection
Dear community,
I'm trying to include some live data from reports to a slide deck.
At the moment, the reports only refresh after selecting the slide.
Without selection, it looks like in the following screenshot. Only after selecting the slide it gets updated automatically or when running through the presentation mode.
Is there a way that the embedded reports/slides are updated immediately as soon as the presentation is opened?
I'm not talking about the automatic refresh during slide shows - I just want to have it "initially" refreshed immediately when the file gets opened.
Thanks and best regards,
David
Hi, no, unfortunately my issue is not resolved.
However, I'll accept it as a solution as I'm not sure if my issue occurs due to organizational settings.
Thanks

Use "Power BI Tiles" Add-in (official Microsoft way)
If you are embedding Power BI reports, the official Power BI Tiles add-in for PowerPoint is meant for live integration.

This still refreshes on slide select.
-
However, you can set it to "Always fetch the latest data" from Power BI.
-
When starting the Slide Show, it should preload it more reliably.
Still, first time opening will be a bit delayed until selecting the slide.

johnbasha33 thanks for your reply.
The linked add-in is Zoom for Outlook...
Anyway, it seems that I'm quite restricted within the organization as also add-ins from the Office Store are blocked by the administrator when using PPT online version
In desktop version it generally works but also there it isn't updating more reliable when having the slide show and set data refresh to e.g. every 30sec.

Hi Plz_Help_Me,
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.
There is no official way to preload or auto-refresh Power BI embedded visuals in PowerPoint at the moment upon just opening the file.
