Embed with report web part in SharePoint Online

Hi,

Do viewers/users of Power BI reports that have been embedded in SharePoint online require a Power BI Pro licence to view the reports?

Hi there,

Yes they do require a Power BI Pro license, because the report has been shared with them.

I believe a Power BI (free) license is acceptable for tenants that have Power BI premium. The users still need to be assigned a license and must be given access to the workgroup that holds the report. I would check with MS as licensing changes over time.
