Embed a video in PowerBi dashboard from the app

Dear all,

today I tried to embed a video in a PowerBi dashboard canvas using HTML Content from the app, but without success. I have tried to follow this procedure: https://www.discoverei.com/blog/how-to-embed-videos-in-power-bi

In particular, I embedded the HTML code but when I publish the dashboard the box remains black and no video appears. Do you have any easy-fix to suggest? Do you know any alternative procedure to embed a video using the app?

Hi @gianlu-gaggio ,

• If you just want to embed a video to dashboard, you could follow steps below to add a video tile:

 

• If you want to embed videos in reports --> pin to dashboards--> create apps , you could use the following link:

It works on my side. And please that you won't be able to embed youtube videos as youtube blocks this. Vimeo works or even better, host the video on your own server.
