Embed PowerBI for internal use
Hello,
I'm trying to publish dashboard for multiple internal users (<100). I would be the only analyst creating dashboards and making them amends.
I was thinking that it would be more cost effective to use something as Sharepoint to publish the dashboards.
1. Do you know if the configuration on the link above, it would need an Azure server? I have read in this forum that a different type of license would be needed (E Series?)
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/developer/embed-sample-for-your-organization
2. A recent topic suggested using the connector between Sharepoint and PowerBI. This would mean the same as point 3?
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-embed-report-spo
3. Integrations similar to this would need PowerBI Pro for each user
https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/integrate-power-bi-reports-in-sharepoint-online/
My current environment relies on a PowerBI Pro accounts.

Hi acanepa,
If you mean embed to sharepoint feature, current it not need to approved in azure side. You can direct use it to embed your report to sharepoint site.
Embed with report web part in SharePoint Online
Notice: users need power bi pro license to view embed contents.
You can also consider to use publish to web feature.
BTW, power bi embedded which you mentioned, current it request pro or above license and need to register in azure site to get permissions of REST API.

Hi Anonymous,
Thanks for your response. Is it possible to use AP/Embed without an Azure Server, if I have a PowerBI Pro account?

Hi acanepa,
For embed or other REST API related operations, you need to request permission at azure side.
After approve related permissions, you not need to sign in azure server every time.
You can also consider to use other methods to share your report, such as 'publish to web'.
