Emailed PDF Visuals Failing

Hi,

I've recently finished builiding an App on Power BI for roughly 50 users. The App consits of two data sets, one of which uses dynamic RLS. My users are all subscriber to this App and recieve a daily email which contains a link to the report and also a screenshot of the first page of the app. The visuals in the app function when they are viewed in Power BI service by the users following the link:

However when the screenshot comes through with the emai half the visualisations it contains fail for about half of the emails due to the "visual exceding the available resources"

I'm assuming this issue is related to Power BI being able to run things on an indvidual basis but struggling when asked to run the same process simaltaneously for multiple users.

Is there anything I can do to help improve the functioning of Power BI when its sending out these emails so that the visulisations of the screenshot don't fail? Having errors show in the email my users see every day isn't great for their confidence!

Hi @Anonymous ,

The issue is caused by querying too much data to complete the result with the available resource, you can try to filter the visual to reduce the amount of data in the result. You can review the content the links for details.

The “Visual Has Exceeded The Available Resources” Error In Power BI

This visual has exceeded the available resources

Visual has exceeded the available resources

Hi there

I would log a support ticket, just to make sure that sending out the 50 emails at once is indeed a resource issue.

That will allow you to know if it is something you need to fix or something on the Power BI side?
