Effective identity - username

Hi!

 

We use PBI embedded with RLS. To make it work, we send a Username through the EffectiveIdentity with an array of id's to which a user has access. 

We do some magic with a DAX expression to map the array to the actual data.

 

Now we go live, we noticed that the Username is limited to 256 characters. This is too short for us. Is this the right place to report this. IMO this is something that should be "fixed" by Microsoft. Are there plans to increase this number of characters?

 

Another (more communicty related) thing: Is there a way we could easily work around this limitation?

    The username field is limited to 256 characters by default.This is a system limitation that affects many applications and services.

     

    There is currently no good way to solve this problem, you can come up with ideas for this, you can submit your ideas via the following link:
