Edit mode not available on Power BI Service?

Hi all,

I am trying to go through the tutorial but am unable to return to edit mode after creating a report. From what I have spent a fair amount of time reading, there should be an 'edit' button on my screen but it's not there. I am working in My Workspace so have all necessary permissions and have Pro subscription.

The three dots do not contain an edit button.

The view button does not allow me to swap to edit mode

Am I missing something obvious or is this a bug?

Thanks,

Rob

      Hi Amine,

I am the owner of the workspace (it is My Workspace) and I created the report. The dataset is in the same workspace.

The only potential solution I can find is that there is no edit mode in the browser ('Service') version, which seems bizare if it's the case.

      Thanks,

    Hi  robweston99 ,

Please make sure you are not the owner of the report or you do not have edit permission in the workspace where the report is stored. To use the edit mode, you need to have a Power BI Pro or Premium Per User (PPU) license and be assigned the member, admin, or contributor role in the workspace.

Another possible reason is that there is a display issue with your screen resolution or page size. You can try to reduce them with ctrl and scrolling the mouse to see if the edit functionality appears.

    Best regards.

      Hi Caitlyn,

I am the owner of the workspace (it is My Workspace) and I created the report. I have a Pro license. I have made sure it's not the window cutting off the button (see screenshots). The only potential solution I can find is that there is no edit mode in the browser ('Service') version, which seems bizare if it's the case.

      Thanks,
