ERROR: Failed to send email to invite users. Please try again later. - Internal user

I have a user who was viewing severla dashboard. Today some of those dashboard have disapepared, but their name is stil lin the shared list.  i removed thme form the dashbboard and went to readd them and got the message above. i tried some other users same message. We are all on the same domain so this is NOT the external user sharing most posts are about.

Any one any clues how to fix this?
