Dynamics NAV 2016 - Failed to authenticate
Hi nsaleron,
Based on the above error message, there are some issues with the web service authentication, could you please firstly use Power BI Desktop to connect to Dynamics NAV and check if it is successful? The OData entry in Power BI Desktop should allow you to connect NAV when you provide the same URL as you do in Power BI Service.
Thanks,
Lydia Zhang
Hi Anonymous,
Thank you for your answer. I have followed the following steps with PowerBI Desktop:
1. I have clicked on the "Get Data" button in the ribbon and then "OData Feed".
2. I have entered the same URL as before (https://navserver.domain.fr:9048/DynamicsNAV90/OData/Company('My%20Cronus') and also tried with the previous URL followed by /powerbifinance)
3. I have entered my basic credentials (username + password)
After a few seconds, PowerBI retrieved all my published services as "Tables" and I am able to browse my data (see screenshot below).
For your information, the server navserver.domain.fr is a computer in a cloud service, so in this test I was not on same local network as the server but connected to it throw the public Internet.
I hope you will be able to help me with that :)

I get the same thing. I can connect via my PowerBi Desktop, but it I try to use the built in one on https://app.powerbi.com it fails. I'd really like this fixed as it has the reports already built as a starting point.
Any ideas??
