Hello BI experts,
I have a question about sharing reports once published to the web. I know that however you save the BI report on desktop at the time of publication will be how it appears on the shareable web link.
Is it possible to have someone select different slicers, visuals, then send an email showing how they sliced up the report?
Example: Say I am showing a BI report (web link) to a customer with a variety of different pricing options loaded into a slicer. The customer goes through and selects 2 out of the 10 options on the slicer that they want to use. This selection will change their cost, volumes, and all visualations on the report.
Is there a way for BI to share the report exactly how they have it sliced without it reverting back to how you originally published?

Hi @Anonymous,
Example: I publish the report without any slicers selected. The user selects 3 slicers and somehow exports the report where it opens with their slicers selected, instead of none being selected as it was originally published.
Unfortunately, this is not yet supported.

Hi @Anonymous,
Slicers still work when you publish a report to web. Recipients having the shared URL can choose values from slicer to filter report data.

@v-yulgu-msft that is correct. What I am trying to accomplish is have the user slice the web report however they would like, then when they have selected all their options, they can export the report to reflect their sliced version.
Example: I publish the report without any slicers selected. The user selects 3 slicers and somehow exports the report where it opens with their slicers selected, instead of none being selected as it was originally published.
