Dynamic Subscriptions - emailing reports

Hi,

I've created a PBI report and associated paginated report to create monthly statements which need to be sent by email to our customers.

I have set the Workspace with a Premium Per User License.

When clicking on "Subscribe to report" and "Create a subscription", I don't have the option to select "Dynamic per reipient (preview)" as per the instructions on the learn.microsoft.com website.

Do I need a different license and, if so, which do I need to purchase?

It will be used by 4 members of the team only, though ideally other users would be able to access other reports in the workspace too.

Please can anyone offer any advice? Many thanks.

Hi @AliPoTD - To enable the "Dynamic per recipient (preview)" option in Power BI subscriptions, you need a Power BI Premium capacity (P SKU), not just Premium Per User (PPU) licensing. Currently, the Premium Per User (PPU) license doesn’t support the Dynamic subscription feature; this feature is only available with a dedicated Premium capacity (P1, P2, etc.).

A Power BI Premium capacity license allows for the "Dynamic per recipient" feature and other advanced features.
The P SKU is purchased at the capacity level, which means it’s not assigned per user. It provides a dedicated capacity environment for your workspace, allowing you to utilize features that are unavailable in PPU.

suggest,

To use the "Dynamic per recipient" subscription option: Upgrade to Power BI Premium capacity (P1 or higher).

To keep costs lower: Consider using Power Automate to send paginated report emails as a workaround.

Hope this helps.
