Dynamic Subscriptions - Email certain pages of report together based on a table.
Have a table set up to use as my dynamic subscription table. Was wondering if there was a way to determine what pages of a report are included in the paginated report. I was hoping there was a way to use the yes/no checks to determine that. Some people only need access to view one part of it while others would need multiple pages. Not sure if this is even possible or not. Let me know, thanks.
Hi effertz12,
Thank you for posting your query in the Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.Based on the official documentation for dynamic subscriptions in Power BI reports:
Create a Dynamic Subscription for a Power BI Report - Power BI | Microsoft LearnDynamic subscriptions allow you to send personalized versions of the same report to recipients by applying filters defined in a semantic model, so each user receives a filtered view of the data.
The documentation describes personalization as filter‑based. Page selection is configured statically when the subscription is created and isn’t described as something that can be varied dynamically per recipient.
Additionally, dynamic subscriptions require the report to be hosted in a workspace backed by Premium capacity or Microsoft Fabric capacity.
Based on these documented capabilities, scenarios where different users need different combinations of report pages typically require alternative approaches, such as separate subscriptions or custom solutions that run on supported capacity.

You can do this via Power Automate. Be aware of the cost. Reports are rerendered for each subscription recipient and that can put a serious dent in your CU budget.

Hi effertz12
The answer above is right that page selection is fixed per subscription, so the only way inside Power BI is a subscription per group of people who need the same pages.
Disclosure, I build a tool for this, BIPulse, and the way it handles your case is to let you set the same report up more than once. One setup with the two pages and the people who need both, another with the single page and the people who only need that, each with its own schedule. Same report underneath, so a change to the report flows through to everyone. Each person still gets their own filtered view based on the column you pick, and the email link opens the report on their page with their filter already applied.
Worth saying it only works with Power BI reports, not paginated RDL reports, so if yours is genuinely a paginated report this will not help you. It also does not need capacity, which is the other reason people end up looking outside Power BI for this.
bipulse.io if useful.
